Overview

This is your 9 step guide for setting up the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.

Please progress through each step by clicking "Next" at the bottom right of each page

Microsoft Authenticator App

iPhone

Install the "Microsoft Authenticator" app from the Apple Store

Apple QR Code

Android

Install the "Microsoft Authenticator" app from the Google Play Store .

Android QR Code

You may need to log into the Play Store with a Gmail email.

If you do not have a Gmail email, you may need to sign up for one.

Step 1)

On your Phone
Open up a browser and go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup

Step 2)

Enter your email address
If you dont know your email address, ask your manager for assistance

Step 3)

Enter the password for your email address

If you dont know your password, ask your manager for assistance.

You may need to request a password reset by emailing requests@kinetics.co.nz

Step 4)

You will be redirected to a "More Information" web page
Click "Next" to continue

On the "Keep your account secure" webpage
Click "Next"

Step 6)

Click "Pair your account to the app by clicking this link"

Step 7)

You will be shown a 2 digit number, remember it for the next step.
Click on the Microsoft Authenticator Notification
If there isnt a popup, switch apps on your phone to the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Step 8)

On the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone
Type in the number from the previous step and click "Yes"

Step 9)

Switch back to the browser app on your phone
(That you were previously on)
You will see the page change "Security Info"
Confirm "Microsoft Authenticator" is included

Completed

Your Microsoft Authenticator MFA is now set up
