Where do you think AI will take us in 2025? Do your picks match ours?

Artificial Intelligence has been

the IT and business topic of 2024.

“What’s next,

How can we use it,

should we be afraid of it”

have been the big questions.

Now we’re in a new year.

what are the new trends we need to ready for?

Introducing the concept of agentic AI.

Agentic AI is like a super-smart robot that can think and solve problems all by itself. Imagine you have a robot that can do your work, plan your events, and even help you with your regular tasks without you telling it what to do every single time. It looks at a lot of information, figures out the best way to do things, and then does them for you. It’s like having a really smart assistant who can take on autonomous actions on your behalf.

You can expect to see teams of agents working in networks, forming up together to enlist the right AI agent for the right task.  Its hard to imagine the impact this will bring.

Voice interfaces are emerging now.

We’ve seen versions of AI stat to embrace voice as means to be more natural.  It is still limited in most common tools but expect to be able to have a reasonable conversation with ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or other AI tools within months. Apple have already integrated Siri to ChatGPT and you can, albeit with some work, connect Alexa to ChatGPT or Gemini.   Expect to see AI become more personalised and try to emulate emotional, or at least emotionally sensitive, responses.

AI is (almost) everywhere.

Ultimately AI is based on machine pattern learning.  While ChatGPT made us all more aware

gentAI moves to video

Late last year, OpenAI released Sora.  Sora converts your text into a video. These tools will become commonplace and present huge challenges to social media platforms that are primarily video.  We can foresee AI tools embedded in their content creation tools.  The need to verify content and become distrustful of media will influence how we consume online content.

Business scaling becomes infinite,

We’ve seen what some brilliant minds can do to build an audience, a brand and a business online  Now that AI makes it possible to build a digital team to do the hard yards,  and as it becomes smarter to make decisions, then imagine the opportunities for these entrepreneurs.

One thing is for certain.  We are just scratching the surface.  The money being invested in AI businesses is simply unbelievable, and that’s going to bring massive advances faster than we can absorb them.  One statistic that I found curious is that the limit to AI growth might turn out to be the electricity suppliers that power the data centres.
