Not-For-Profit and Charity IT Services in NZ

We love the community impact and purpose that New Zealand charities provide.

We know that every dollar saved on IT means more resources are available to achieve community outcomes.  The smart use of IT means more people can be helped by the charitable service.

Most NFPs are reliant on volunteers, often with the added complexity of working with personally owned IT devices.  These devices are outside the control of the organisation and can vary in standards and IT health.  This adds a unique degree of complexity to IT operations.

We know the challenges around navigating data security, privacy and cloud services.  Above all, we understand that while IT is critical for success, there are limited funds to invest in IT.

We help many familiar kiwi not-for-profit organisations and we’re proud to support them with pragmatic, reliable and cost-effective IT solutions. From cyber attack prevention, to data and privacy protection, we’re here to help.

Pet Refuge NZ

Loved this great message from the amazing people at Pet Refuge.  These guys make such a difference for survivors of domestic abuse.  By keeping their pets safe, survivors get to concentrate on themselves and their safety and housing. We’re proud to keep making small contributions and it’s awesome to know that we’ve given 800 safe bed nights for pets in need, and alongside that, hope, and healing to whanau.

“People and businesses, such as Kinetics, who have been with us since the beginning have a special place in the charity’s heart. You saw and invested in the potential impact Pet Refuge could make before there was a building or any proof. A leap of faith I hope you now see is changing lives for pets and families every day. We’ve also hit a milestone this week, of caring for over 650 pets across more than 60,000 safe bed nights – We couldn’t have done what we have without you, and we’re so pleased to continue moving forward with your support.

Not only have you directly supported our Kaupapa with your generous donations, but you’ve also helped train and support our staff so we can work more efficiently in pursuit of our mission. Again, a massive thank you.” Erin Ellis-Roberts General Manager – Marketing and Business

Our community thrives when the organisations in it succeed, grow, employ people and deliver more great services to their constituents.

We help them do that using IT better: we make IT work for them.

“Having IT Advisory provided by  Kinetics each week has enabled Deaf Aotearoa to get our heads up out of the operational matters and be more proactive and strategic. Whilst it’s hard to find time in our busy days to step back and figure out what we could do smarter, this investment has proved to be a great success.

In practical terms, Kinetics has been critical in delivering new systems that add value to our staff and the service we deliver to the Deaf community.

Cyberthreat Guide

A 10 minute read for CEO’s and Directors

Are you Feeling Lucky?

” A cybercriminal only has to be lucky once, while a defender has to be lucky every minute of every day “

Governance boards are increasingly asking ‘can we prevent hackers from stealing our data?’

Cyber-crime is a mega-business worth billions of dollars. The cost and effort to combat attacks is increasing. Nothing is guaranteed and the work required to reduce your risk is rapidly evolving.

New tools, new processes and new staff awareness is required. The protections that seemed excessive a year ago are now inadequate. With the pace of change, tools and processes must be thoroughly reassessed every year.
